8V Series Cast Iron Fourteen-Groove Pulley Sheaves with Split Taper Bushings
8V series fourteen-groove taper bushed sheaves are manufactured for 8V and 8V banded v-belts. They range from 12.5" to 64.0" in diameter. Depending on the sheave size, they are made to use U2 or W2 split-taper bushings, which we also stock. Most of our fourteen-groove 8V split taper sheaves are manufactured from a high-strength grade 35 cast iron, are phosphate-coated, and are painted for anti-corrosion. All of them are balanced at the factory for smooth machinery operation.

Classic 8V-Series V-Belts have a 0.63" top-width, 0.53" thickness, and a 38° angle. Additionally, 8V V-belts are one of the oldest styles of V-Belts in the industry. Because of their long-term success and economical operation, they are also one of the industry's most widely used belt series. The premium 8V-series v-belts we supply are manufactured under ISO 9001 specifications, are oil and heat resistant, and directly interchange with other brands. They are constructed of a natural rubber compound with polyester cords and use cotton with a polyester blend cover for high durability.![]() | ![]() |
1. Before and after the pulley assembly, gasoline must be used to ensure that all parts are clean and dry to ensure that the mating surface is tightly matched without oil stains and has sufficient friction.2. The hexagon socket head cap bolts for assembly should also be washed with gasoline and dried before assembly. Do not apply lubricating oil or grease in the bolts or screw holes to ensure sufficient frictional self-locking ability after the bolts are fastened.3. When the three hexagon socket head bolts are about to be installed, they need to be tightened in turns to ensure that the tapered sleeve is subjected to uniform axial force and that the pulley and the tapered sleeve are well positioned coaxially.4. Check and measure the length of the hexagonal socket head bolts for assembly before installation to ensure that the assembly bolts can withstand the bottom end of the blind hole of the taper sleeve after tightening to ensure that the tapered surface fits tightly and to ensure that the bolts are subjected to the reverse thrust at the bottom of the blind hole, resulting in The anti-loosening effect of the double nut principle is the same.5. After the pulley is tightened, check and adjust the relative position of the primary and driven pulley by pulling the wire to ensure that the two pulleys are on the same plane and the belt tension is moderate.6. The pulley cover should be intact and installed firmly to ensure that the belt is broken or the pulley is loosened and withdrawn during operation, resulting in a significant safety accident.7. The tapered sleeve is a vulnerable part. It should be checked before each assembly, and the spare parts should be replaced in time if any defects are found. After a long operation, the inner hole and the chain groove may be damaged.
