Trailer Suspension Components Trailer Leaf Slipper Spring 1000-7000lbs

Raydafon Group's Trailer Suspension Components, featuring the Trailer Leaf Slipper Spring 1000-7000lbs, delivers heavy-duty reliability for trailers, ensuring smooth rides and enhanced durability. Built with high-quality steel and precision engineering, it's perfect for truckers and cargo managers, reducing maintenance costs and preventing breakdowns. Unlike competitors, its slipper design improves stability under loads. Trust in superior performance and add peace of mind to your operations today!

Slipper Spring

Slipper springs are suitable for all types of trailers, including multi-purpose trailers, marine trailers, travel trailers, dump trailers, and horse trailers. This trailer shoe spring has a 9/16 "inner diameter nylon sleeve installed at one end and a radius end sliding end installed at the other end. Measurements are taken along the surface of the leaf spring to obtain the most accurate measurement. Due to the flattening of the sliding spring, end-to-end measurements may vary over time.
  • Multiple leaf spring will flex to absorb road shock and provide a smooth ride
  • Springs reduce wear and tear on your trailer
  • Springs will help level and smooth out your ride
  • 9/16" nylon bushing included with spring
  • Slipper spring has a hook end designUsed on Trailers with 1,000 lb to 8,000 lb trailer axles.

Slipper Spring Components

There are 6 main components to a slipper spring suspension setup. The number of each of these components depends on your axle configuration (single axle, dual axle, or triple axle).Trailer Suspension Components Trailer Leaf Slipper Spring 1000-7000lbs
The main components of a slipper spring suspension setup are:
  • Hangers
  • Leaf springs
  • Equalizers
  • Spring seats
  • Suspension bolts
  • U-Bolts/U-bolt plates
Refer to the chart to see how these parts all work together in a suspension system.

How Leaf Springs Work in Suspension Systems

Trailer Suspension Components Trailer Leaf Slipper Spring 1000-7000lbsLeaf spring is a simple form of spring commonly used for the suspension of wheeled vehicles. Originally referred to as laminated springs or carriage springs, sometimes referred to as semi elliptical springs, elliptical springs, or cart springs, it is one of the oldest forms of vehicle suspension. A leaf spring is one or more narrow curved thin plates connected to the axle and chassis in a way that allows the leaf spring to bend vertically in response to the irregularity of the road surface. Horizontal leaf springs are the most commonly used arrangement, running along the length of the vehicle and installed perpendicular to the wheel axle, but there are also many examples of horizontal leaf springs.

The purpose of this design is to reduce friction between the blades, so there is only contact between the blades at the end and center of the connecting shaft. The gasket can prevent contact with other points. In addition to reducing weight, the main advantage of parabolic springs is their greater flexibility, which translates into improved driving quality, close to coil springs; The cost is reduced load carrying capacity. They are widely used on buses to improve comfort.Usually, when used in car suspension, the blades both support the axle and locate/partially locate the axle. This may lead to problems (such as "axle runout"), because the flexibility of the spring makes it difficult to accurately control the Unsprung mass of the axle. Some suspension designs use Watt links (or Panhard rods) and radius arms to position the axle, and do not have this drawback. This design allows for the use of softer springs for a better riding experience.
