1210 Taper Lock Bushings

Raydafon Group's 1210 Taper Lock Bushings are precision-engineered components designed to securely connect pulleys or sprockets to shafts in industrial machinery. Featuring durable steel construction and easy installation, they offer reliable performance in manufacturing, automotive, and agricultural settings. These bushings solve alignment issues, reducing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency. Their unique taper design ensures a tight, vibration-free fit, outperforming standard options. Choose Raydafon Group for robust solutions that keep your equipment running smoothly.
1210 Taper Lock BushingOne thousand two hundred ten bushings belong to the "taper lock" category and can be found in a range of roller chain sprockets and pulleys. Available in bores ranging from 1/2" to 1-1/4" (imperial) and 11mm to 32mm (metric), these bushings are the third-largest tapered bushing type. Tapered lock bushings are used in applications where narrow lengths of through-holes are required, or shaft mounting must be close to the bearing. The universal design keeps center loads small, preventing problems with high cantilever loads. The 1210 bushings are separated by a flange, while the tapered taper provides accurate clamping on the shaft, equivalent to a "shrink fit."1210 Tapered Lock Bushings are used in a wide variety of applications for several different reasons. We offer our customers high-quality inch and metric size tapered locking bushings at the best prices in the industry without sacrificing quality. These bushings will be directly interchangeable with other manufactured bushings, so you don't have to worry about compatibility. Each 1210 Tapered Locking Bushing product page includes instructions on how to install and remove the bushing and size and wrench torque information to ensure you have all the information you need to install or remove the bushing properly. Additionally, we can supply bushings in stainless steel and unique bores upon request! Installation

1. Clean all oil, dirt, and paint from the shaft, bushing holes, bushing exterior, and bores of components (sprockets, pulleys, etc.).2. Insert the bushing into the assembly. Match hole patterns, not threaded holes (each hole is threaded on one side only).3. Thread the set screw or cap screw into the half-threaded hole shown below. Install the assembly on the shaft.4. Alternately set the torque setting or cap screw* to the recommended torque setting in the table below.5. Fill all unoccupied holes with grease.1210 Taper Lock Bushings

Removal

What are the symptoms of a damaged bushing?

In terms of insulation, the W-sleeve consists of two layers. The outermost layer consists of porcelain. The innermost insulation system consists of concentric capacitors. The outermost layer consists of several layers and is used for electrical testing. Although this is a solid insulation system, it requires extensive metal fittings and flexible seals. It is recommended for voltages of 26 kV or lower.Changes in PF indicate that moisture has penetrated and degraded the casing. Also, if the PF value doubles, the bushing needs to be replaced. Another degradation indicator is the change in capacitance, measured in milligrams (pF). A 10% increase from its nameplate value indicates that the bushing needs to be replaced. So, what are the symptoms of a damaged W bushing?Hot Loop Test: This test is performed on the bushing to evaluate its ability to conduct current. Using a conductive ring around the porcelain, the test can determine if the dielectric loss has occurred through the sleeve. It can also detect cracked porcelain, deteriorated cement joints, gasket leaks, and faults within the condenser layers. Additionally, this test checks the oil level in the oil-filled bushing.Click and check out more products you're looking for.
