5V Series Cast Iron Six-Groove QD Sheaves for "5V" Belts

5V series six-groove QD (quick detachable) bushed sheaves are manufactured for 5V, 5VX, banded 5V, and banded 5VX belts. They range from 4.40" to 50.00" in diameter. Depending on the sheave size, they are made to use an SD, SK, SF, E, F, or J QD bushing, which we also stock. Most of our six-groove 5V QD sheaves are manufactured from a high-strength grade 35 cast iron, are phosphate-coated, and are painted for anti-corrosion. All of them are balanced at the factory for smooth machinery operation.

Features of Taper Bush Pulleys

The taper bush pulley is a mechanical connection assembly with a tapered sleeve embedded between the installation shaft and the pulley, in which the pulley is self-locking on the pointed sleeve by the inner hexagon screw, and the tapered sleeve tightly holds the installation shaft. The tapered sleeve is mainly divided into the TB taper sleeve and the QD taper sleeve. The holes where the taper sleeve and the pulley match are all half-sided, and the two light holes on the taper sleeve and the two threaded holes on the pulley, respectively, form a complete. A threaded hole on the tapered sleeve and a smooth hole on the pulley form a complete fix. When assembling, put the two screws in the two threaded holes of the pulley. As the screws are continuously tightened in the threaded holes on the pulley, the thread action pushes the screws to the small end of the tapered hole on the pulley.
