FF series Friction Torque Limiter (Slip Clutch) For PTO Shaft

The FF torque limiter clutch is a coil spring clutch used to limit the amount of torque delivered at a calibrated value through slippage of the friction discs but maintain power delivery. It also helps absorb peak torque during the startup of machines with high inertia.Torque limitation is guaranteed by sliding the clutch pack on 2 or 4 special material (asbestos-free) discs. The value of the calibration torque can be adjusted by modifying the compression height of the coil spring. Available with 2 or 4 friction discs. Works in both directions of rotation.

• A Torque Limiter is implemented when an implement exceeds the front PTO horsepower.
• This Torque limiter under extreme load will slip loose allowing all overload on the front PTO and tractor to be released, Once the front PTO of the tractor is turned off the torque limiter will click back into place allowing the use of the front implement again.
• Therefore saving the front Pto and the tractor. This torque limiter is mostly used on our 540rpm gearboxes which are put on tractors with over 100 hp engines.
