HA Series Locking Assemblies
A locking assembly is designed to transmit forces evenly over 360 degrees of contact. This is achieved by distributing torque-transmission stresses along the conical surface of the locking assembly. It also provides good interchangeability. In addition, it reduces work and component spending. It is an ideal replacement for keyways and bored and keyed connections. It eliminates the need for cooling, heating, and pressurized equipment. It is also ideal for rotary table devices, pumps, and brake disc mountings.A locking assembly may consist of one or two conical pressure rings. These rings are pulled onto the conical surfaces of the clamping sleeve by tightening clamping screws.A locking assembly can be installed in any position. This connection reliably transmits axial, radial, and bending moments.
