RAS1 Series Overrunning Clutch for PTO Shaft

The overrunning clutch allows any implement to free-wheel to a stop. Any implement with a large rotating mass may need overload protection by allowing it to free-wheel to a stop. The clutch prevents the machine from driving the tractor when the PTO drive shaft has stopped. The overrunning clutch direction is dependent on the application, the normal tractor PTO direction is clockwise. Overrunning clutches do not absorb any energy, so start-up overloads must be absorbed by other means.
