9 Inch Compact Post Hole Auger for Tractor 3 Point Post Hole Diggers with 2" Round Shaft
A 9 inch compact post hole auger is a tool used for drilling holes in the ground, typically for setting fence posts or planting trees and shrubs. It is a smaller version of a standard post hole digger that is designed to be more maneuverable and easier to use in tighter spaces. The 9 inch size refers to the diameter of the hole that can be drilled with the auger. It is important to use the correct size auger for the job to ensure a proper and stable installation.![]() |

1. First, attach the post hole auger to the back of the tractor. The post hole auger should be attached to the three-point hitch on the back of the tractor.
2. Start the tractor and engage the power take-off (PTO shaft). The PTO shaft is usually engaged by pulling a lever or pressing a button.
3. Position the post hole auger over the spot where you want to dig the hole. Lower the post hole auger into the soil, and engage the auger by turning it on.
4. Allow the post hole auger to dig into the soil, using the power of the tractor to push it down into the ground. As you dig, periodically stop and lift the post hole auger out of the hole to remove the dirt that has accumulated in it.
5. Continue to dig until the hole is as deep as you need it to be. Once you have reached the desired depth, stop the post hole auger and lift it out of the hole.
6. Remove the post hole auger from the tractor and set it aside. Fill the hole with soil to secure the post or to plant a tree.
7. Finally, maintain the auger by cleaning it after each use and storing it properly to prevent rust or damage.
Remember to follow all safety precautions when operating a post hole auger. Wear appropriate clothing and equipment, and always be aware of your surroundings.
