Progressive lubrication system

The progressive lubrication system is mainly composed of a lubricating oil pump, a progressive working distributor, and various pipes connecting the pump to the distributor, and the distributor to each oil supply part. Its structure is that the lubricant (grease or oil) sprayed by the lubricating oil pump is distributed to each oil supply part in a progressive manner through the progressive working distributor. The driving mode is manual, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic.

Progressive lubrication system and its working principle

1. The progressive system consists of an electric grease pump unit, a progressive distributor, pipeline components and electrical monitoring.2. Grease is transported by a grease pump, accurately divided by a progressive distributor, and finally delivered to the lubrication point.3. After a certain outlet of the distributor discharges oil, its next outlet can discharge oil, which is easy to monitor.

The role of the safety valve in the progressive lubrication system

The progressive system can provide continuous lubrication when the pump is working. Once the pump stops, the piston of the progressive metering device will stop at its current position. When the pump starts to supply lubricating oil again, the piston will continue to work from the stopped position. Therefore, when only one lubrication point is blocked, the progressive line of one outlet of the pump will stop. However, the pump will continue to work, and the pressure in the pipeline assembly will continue to rise. When the pressure value set by the safety valve is reached, the safety valve will open to release the pressure, so as to protect the pump motor from overloading.

This situation can hinder the lubrication process and create operational inefficiencies. However, in systems utilizing an automatic pump, such as the electric pump model RDF-EALP-G, the situation is managed differently. In the event of a blockage, the lubricant is safely discharged through a safety valve, thus protecting the system from damage and ensuring continuous operation.The progressive distributor features a variable displacement structure, which is one of its significant advantages. This design allows the distributor to dynamically adjust the number of blockages based on the number of lubrication points. As a result, a single block allocator can handle different displacements, facilitating complete progressive distribution.The output variation for each piston stroke is achieved through the use of pistons of different diameters. This innovation ensures that each lubrication point receives the appropriate amount of lubricant, tailored to its specific requirements.To maintain the proper functioning of the progressive distributor, it is essential to have at least three pistons in operation, which translates to a minimum of three distributor blocks. This configuration is critical for ensuring balanced and effective lubricant distribution throughout the system, thereby optimizing performance and extending the lifespan of the machinery involved.
