Cantilever loads generated by chain or small gear transmission are generally allowed, as the gearbox and bearings are designed for this purpose. The shafts are made of high-strength carbon steel. The larger shaft diameter allows for handling torsional and bending loads that may arise from cantilever drives.
The single-piece universal housing comes with top and bottom flanges, as well as supporting flanges, allowing for universal mounting positions such as low speed, high speed, and vertical. Therefore, internal components can be interchanged for all installation positions. To change the installation position from low speed to high speed or vice versa, simply invert the device and change the positions of the drain plug, breather plug, and oil level indicator.
