Worm Gear Reducer Lubrication
The gears and bearings of the gearbox are lubricated by oil splashing from the oil sump. The modular series worm gearbox is equipped with a dipstick-oil filter-ventilator. Except for occasionally filling the recommended grade of lubricating oil to the required level, no special care is required. Chloroprene rubber lip oil seals are installed on the input and output shafts. Forced lubrication is required for extremely low speeds below 50 rpm. The reducer does not come with lubricating oil, so the correct amount of lubricating oil must be added. It must be ensured that the correct oil level is not exceeded because overfilling will cause oil agitation, resulting in overheating and leakage.
