WP series worm gearbox is developed on the basis of the WD series worm gearbox. The housing is made of rigid cast iron with high strength, which can be suitable for harsh environments. It has various housing designs, the input forms include solid shaft input, hollow hole input, and flange input, and the output forms include solid shaft output and hollow hole output, so the WP series worm gearbox owns a variety of installation forms for option.It can be directly connected to the motor conveniently and be used with various mechanical equipment. Worm Gearbox Working Conditions:

1. The worm speed of the worm gearbox cannot exceed 1500r/min.2. The working environment temperature is -40 °C - +40 °C. When the working environment temperature is lower than 0 °C, the lubricating oil must be heated to above 0 °C before starting.When the working environment temperature is higher than 40 °C, cooling measures must be taken.3. The worm gearbox can be rotated in positive and negative directions.Precautions:1. The worm gear shaft can never be used as an input shaft.2. The supporting motor (i.e., power) cannot exceed the value specified on the label.3. If the user wants to change the direction of the input shaft, the lower end cover of the lower shaft can be removed, the worm shaft can be taken out, and the 180 can be adjusted. Just load it.Do not hard knock when installed; slowly drive the two shafts to make them engage.

Q: How to maintain the worm gearbox?A: After a new worm gearbox is being used about 400 hours or 3 months, the lubrication needs to be changed. After that, the oil changing cycle is about every 4000 hours; please do not mix-use different brands of lubrication. It should keep enough amount of lubrication in the worm gearbox housing and check it regularly. When it is found that the lubrication is deteriorated or the amount is decreased, the lubrication should be changed or filled up in time.Q: What should we do when the worm gearbox is the breakdown?A: When the worm gearbox is the breakdown, do not disassemble the parts first. Please contact the relative sales representative at our Foreign Trade Department and provide the information shown on the nameplate, like worm gearbox specification and serial number; time used; fault type as well as the quantity of problemed ones. Finally take the appropriate action.Q: How to store the worm gearbox?A: a) Protected against rain, snow, humidity, dust and impact.b) Place wood blocks or other material between the gearbox and ground.c) The opened but not used gear units should be added with the anti-rust oil on their surface, and then return back to the container in time.d) If the worm gearbox has been stored for 2 years or even longer time, please check the cleanliness and mechanical damage and  whether the anti-rust layer is still there during the regular check-up.Q: What should we do when unusual and even noise occurs during the worm gearbox running?A: It is properly caused by the unevenly mesh between gears or the bearing is damaged.
