The worm wheel is machined on a precision hobbing machine using a high-precision hob. Each worm wheel is inspected and matched with the main worm to ensure complete interchangeability.
The worm and worm wheel are supported by ball or roller anti-friction bearings. They have sufficient safety margin to withstand adequate shaft neck and thrust loads.
