WPEX Series Double Stage Worm Gearboxes

The chassis of the worm gearbox is usually made of cast iron, and only a few heavy-duty gearboxes are made of cast steel. The gearbox shell comprises a box seat and cover, and the split surface passes through the transmission's axis. The holes for mounting the bearings on the casing must be precise to ensure the correct solution of the mutual positions of the gear axes. Bolts connect the box seat and the box cover, and two positioning pins are used to accurately fix the joint work of the box cover and the box seat. The arrangement of the bolts should be reasonable, and the space required to move the wrench should be considered. The diameter of the bolts around the bearing can be slightly larger, as close as possible to the bearing.

Precautions for Using Worm Gearbox

1. Before using, please check carefully whether the gearbox model, distance, ratio, input connecting method, output shaft structure, input and output shaft direction and revolving direction accord with requirement2. According to the requirement of selecting lubricant oil in the product manual, please fill proper category and brand lubricant. And then screw on the vent-plug; Unlock the small cone-plug of vent-plug. Only after doing these, reducer is already for starting up running. The proper brand and adequate lubricant oil is required, replacing oil in time conforming to the request of product manual is also necessary, especially after using first 100 hours, it is required refilling new oil3. When abnormal circumstances occur, please stop and check reducer per solutions and reasons for faults of reducer (allowable highest oil temperature is 95, under this temperature limit, if oil temperature no more goes up, please let reducer continue running).
