Solution to Oil Leakage of Reducer

1. Improve the vent cap and the cover plate of the inspection hole: the internal pressure of the reducer is greater than the external atmospheric pressure, which is one of the main reasons for oil leakage. If the internal and external pressures of the reducer are balanced, oil leakage can be prevented. Although the reducer has a vent cap, the vent hole is too small, which is easy to be blocked by coal dust and oil contamination. In addition, the cover plate of the inspection hole should be opened every time you refuel. Once you open it, the possibility of oil leakage will increase, so that the original leak free place will also leak. To this end, an oil cup type vent cap was made, and the original thin manhole cover plate was changed to 6 mm thick, and the oil cup type vent cap was welded on the cover plate. The vent hole diameter was 6 mm, which was convenient for ventilation and realized pressure equalization. In addition, oil was added from the oil cup when refueling, and the manhole cover plate was not opened, reducing the opportunity for oil leakage.2. Smooth flow: to prevent the excess lubricating oil dumped on the bearing by the gear from accumulating at the shaft seal, the excess lubricating oil must flow back to the oil pool in a certain direction, that is, smooth flow. The specific method is to open an oil return groove in the center of the lower bearing pad of the bearing block, which is inclined to the machine, and also open a gap at the straight port of the end cover, which is opposite to the oil return groove, so that the excess lubricating oil flows back to the oil pool through the gap and the oil return groove.
