This brake plate is ideal for use in European market single/tandem axle box trailers, ATV Trailers, off-road trailers, tradesman trailers, caravan and motor homes. Additionally, the brake plate comes with galvanized, Aluminium Cylinder, Stainless Springs, providing superior durability and longevity.
The brake plate operates by using the principle of friction to slow down or stop the rotation of the wheel. When the electric hand lever is engaged, it activates the brake mechanism, creating friction which slows down the rotation of the wheel. To install the brake plate, attach it to the axle of the trailer using the appropriate hardware. To remove it, simply reverse the installation process.
Maintenance of the brake plate includes regular cleaning to remove any dirt or grime that may affect its performance. It is also recommended to check the brake lining width regularly to ensure it is within the safe limit. If the lining width is less than the recommended limit, it is advisable to replace the brake plate to ensure optimal performance and safety.
