Components of a Harmonic Drive:
Harmonic transmission device is mainly composed of three basic parts, namely wave generator, flexible wheel and rigid wheel.1. Wave generator: composed of a flexible bearing and an elliptical cam, the wave generator is usually installed at the input end of the speed reducer, the inner ring of the flexible bearing is fixed on the cam, and the outer ring realizes the elastic transformation into an elliptical shape by means of a ball.2. Flexible wheel: a flexible thin-walled elastomer part with a circle of outer teeth, usually installed at the output of the gearhead.3. Rigid wheel: a rigid circular part with a circle of inner teeth, generally 2 teeth more than the flexible wheel, usually fixed on the reducer body.
