Installation
The performance of the gearbox depends on correct installation, lubrication, and maintenance.
Shaft Mounting:
Ensure that the shaft and the gearbox unit's hole are clean and free of burrs. Apply a sufficient amount of lubricating oil to the shaft and the hole to aid in assembly and prevent frictional corrosion. Slide the unit onto the drive shaft and install the key.
Foot Mounting:
Secure the device to a sturdy structure as needed. Install the output extension shaft if necessary. The connection between the shafts should use a flexible coupling, and the deviation of the shaft should be within the coupling's tolerance range. When installing pulleys or sprockets on two shafts, they should be installed as close as possible to the gearbox. Lubrication and Maintenance
It is important to properly lubricate and maintain the worm reducer to ensure its longevity and optimal performance.
Lubrication:
Oil Change: Gearboxes with sizes 870 and 871 are lifetime lubrication, except for those that work in explosive environments. All other gearbox sizes require oil changes based on the equipment's operating temperature. New gearboxes should have half of their oil changed after either 1000 hours of use, one year, or the specified service life.
Maintenance:
Keep the gearbox clean and free of debris
Check the gearbox regularly for leaks
Replace any damaged parts immediately
Check the gear teeth regularly for wear and damage
Inspect the bearings and replace them if necessary
