The worm reducer is a highly efficient and energy-saving direct-drive gearbox that offers multiple installation options. It has a driving power of up to 45 kW and a readily available transmission ratio ranging from 8:1 to 16,000:1. Its modern design technology and high-quality components make it the most cost-effective gearbox in Nm/min compared to any other gearbox. The C-series helical worm gearbox is superior to any other gearbox in its cost-effectiveness per Nm. The C-series right-angle gearbox provides a highly efficient and compact solution that meets most requirements. It is interchangeable in size with leading manufacturers' products, and accepts standard IEC motors without modification. See the image below for mounting positions:

The performance of the gearbox depends on correct installation, lubrication, and maintenance.
Ensure that the shaft and the gearbox unit's hole are clean and free of burrs. Apply a sufficient amount of lubricating oil to the shaft and the hole to aid in assembly and prevent frictional corrosion. Slide the unit onto the drive shaft and install the key.
Secure the device to a sturdy structure as needed. Install the output extension shaft if necessary. The connection between the shafts should use a flexible coupling, and the deviation of the shaft should be within the coupling's tolerance range. When installing pulleys or sprockets on two shafts, they should be installed as close as possible to the gearbox. Do not strike the shaft when installing or removing the transmission components, as this will damage the bearings. See the image below for an example of a shaft-mounted reducer:

It is important to properly lubricate and maintain the worm reducer to ensure its longevity and optimal performance.

The worm reducer and electric motors are closely related and dependent on each other. The worm reducer provides a direct drive, while the electric motor provides the power to drive it. Therefore, the selection of an appropriate motor is essential to the gearbox's optimal performance. Our company provides a variety of electric motors for sale. See the image below for an example of electric motors:

| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Q: What is the driving power of the worm reducer? | A: The driving power of the worm reducer can reach up to 45 kW. |
| Q: What are the bore sizes available for the worm reducer? | A: The bore sizes for the worm reducer range from 20 mm to 90 mm. |
| Q: How often should the gearbox oil be changed? | A: Gearboxes with sizes 870 and 871 are lifetime lubrication, except for those that work in explosive environments. All other gearbox sizes require oil changes based on the equipment's operating temperature. New gearboxes should have half of their oil changed after either 1000 hours of use, one year, or the specified service life. |
